BoardPro manages the board, not the entity. Its feature pages cover the meeting cycle and governance records; incorporation filings, registered agent service and statutory deadline tracking are not part of the product.
The Annual Work Plan schedules the board’s own governance calendar. It is not a statutory compliance calendar, so annual reports and state filing dates still live in another system.

For a charity board, a school board, an incorporated society or a small company board with a volunteer secretary, BoardPro is a serious and appropriate choice. It is built against exactly that buyer, and its pricing is built for organizations that have to justify every line item.
Published tiers with unlimited users mean a fifteen-person board is not penalised for adding directors, and the nonprofit and school discount of up to 40% takes real money off the annual figure.
The registers matter more than they sound. An interest register and an auto-populated decision register are exactly the artefacts an auditor or a new chair asks for, and most small boards keep them in a spreadsheet or not at all.
Board pack annotation from the Premium tier, including stylus markup on an iPad through BoardPro Notes, is live today. EntityEngine does not have this enabled in production, and for directors who read papers with a pen in hand that gap is real.
Where the board cycle ends and the entity record begins
A resolution approving a new officer, a signed consent, an annual report due date, and a document that has to be filed with the state are all downstream of the same meeting. BoardPro covers the meeting and the governance record around it; the entity itself — its formation, its filings, its statutory deadlines — sits with your accountant, your lawyer, or a registered agent service.
For an organization with an accountant who already handles the annual return, running the board in one system and the entity in another is normal and works fine.
